Kemper profiles are many.
Even the same amp name, with a different maker or capture conditions, is a completely different sound. So choose by "it's a famous amp name" alone and it can differ from the sound you expected.
No need to overthink it. Before buying, check three things about yourself: your Kemper, the direction of sound you want, and where you'll use it. Decide these three and hesitation drops sharply.
Angle 1: know your Kemper
First, check what your Kemper is.
Head, Rack, Stage, PowerHead, PowerRack, Player. Different forms, but a profile (Rig) basically loads on any of them. So the worry "maybe it won't work on my Kemper" is, in most cases, unnecessary.
Two things to confirm.
One: standard profile, or Liquid Profile. A Liquid Profile is a newer capture method and needs Kemper OS 11 or later to load. A standard profile loads on much older OS too. Confirm in the product description which one you're about to buy, and you're safe.
Two: the OS version. If you haven't updated in a while, raising it once widens your options. But if you're mainly choosing standard profiles, you don't need the latest.
Import via Rig Manager or USB, either is fine. Once this is clear, the rest is about the contents.
Angle 2: put the sound direction you want into words
Next, think of the sound you want as a "direction," not an amp name.
Clean, a lightly distorted crunch, or a deeply distorted high gain. Rough is fine. Picture the sound you play often and the direction comes into view.
Decide the direction and candidates narrow at once. Someone who wants the warm crunch of a small combo and someone who wants a wall of high gain should choose entirely different things. Rather than agonizing over a list of amp names, deciding "which way do I want to lean" first is faster.
Here, picture not just the depth of distortion but the character of the sound. Hard and forward, or thick and round? Cored, or airy? Put it into words and it becomes your standard when comparing products.
Angle 3: picture where you'll use it
Last, think of where you'll use that sound.
For home recording and DTM, a sound that holds up at low volume and sits in the mix is welcome. Small-amp profiles are strong here. For live, cut and volume. For streaming, compatibility with your monitor and mic. Change the scene and the comfortable setting changes.
Even the same profile, whether the mic position is Center or Edge changes whether it's a forward sound or a slightly settled one. Picture where you'll use it and it's easier to choose which of these differences suits you.
The three angles work in order. Confirm with the model whether it "loads," narrow candidates by direction, decide "which of those" by scene. Think in this order and you won't be swamped by the sheer number.
